About Our School

St Matthews Primary School is situated at St Matthews’s location in Keiskammahoek in the Eastern Cape. Keiskammahoek is about 65 kilometres from King Williamstown and about 60km to Stutterheim. The school was found by missionaries around the years 1855. It was governed by the Anglican Church then. It used to be a Practising School for teachers in the training school then. This Primary School is a feeder for St Matthews High School which is a boarding School for girls.  In 1994 the school was moved from the Mission to Mtwaku Location. The principal then was Ms Njemla followed by Mr. Katangana P.
